This policy explains what information the Pew Pew Island game (“the game”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. Pew Pew Island is published by AI-LABZ. Questions: ailabzsupport@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
The game is online-only: every match runs on our servers. To make that work we keep a small game account for you. We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number or contacts, and we do not use the game to track you across other apps.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Player name and tag you choose (e.g. Rookie#1234) | Shown to other players in matches, friends and parties |
| A random account key, stored on your device (we keep only a scrambled copy) | Signs you back in to your account |
| Coins, the heroes you own and the hero you use | Keeps your progress and store purchases made with in-game coins |
| Friends, friend requests and parties | Lets you add friends and play with them |
| Gameplay inputs during a match (movement, aim, shots) | Runs the match; not kept after the match ends |
| IP address and basic connection data | Connects you to a server, keeps the service secure and stops abuse |
| Game usage and crash reports (see section 3) | Shows us how matches go and what breaks, so we can fix bugs and balance the game |
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (from the IP address), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. AdMob may also show ads from other ad networks it works with.
Your choices:
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later from the game’s settings.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → delete or reset your advertising ID.
- iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, you still see ads, but they are not personalized using your advertising ID.
3. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
The game uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They record events such as signing in, starting and finishing a match (mode, place, kills, damage, time survived, coins earned), connection problems, the game’s frame rate, and errors and crashes. Your game account ID is attached to crash reports so we can find the problem behind a report. Firebase also collects device and app information (model, operating system, app version), an app instance ID and approximate location from the IP address. We use this only to fix bugs and improve the game, never to show ads. Google processes it for us as described in Privacy and Security in Firebase.
4. Who we share data with
- Other players see your player name, tag and hero.
- Google AdMob and its ad partners, as described above.
- Google Firebase, for analytics and crash reports, as described above.
- Hosting providers that run our servers, only to operate the game.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. In-app purchases
The game currently has no real-money purchases. Heroes are bought with coins earned by playing. If real-money purchases are added, payment is handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it; we then delete it within 30 days. Server connection logs are kept for no more than 30 days. Analytics events are kept by Firebase for at most 14 months, and crash reports for at most 90 days.
7. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. See Delete your account.
8. Children
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your data, to object to or limit how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email us; we answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Where the GDPR applies, we use your data to provide the game you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep it safe and fair, and to find bugs and crashes with analytics (legitimate interests), and for personalized ads only with your consent.
10. Security
We protect your data with reasonable measures: your account key is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form on our servers, and access to our servers is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. International transfers
Our servers and partners may be located outside your country. When data moves between countries, we and our partners use the safeguards the law requires.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we will also tell you in the game.
